Billease, the Philippines’ fastest-growing consumer finance app, today announced a major expansion of its platform: an Everyday Spend Credit that allows customers to use their Billease credit line for daily purchases through QRPh and tap and pay NFC transactions. For the first time, Filipinos can pay with Billease almost anywhere, then choose to either settle on their next payday at zero interest or convert purchases into manageable installments through Billease’s EasyPace feature.

This positions Billease’s open-loop, credit-for-everyday-spend option built for the Philippine market. Unlike traditional e-wallets that rely on top-ups or credit cards with opaque fees, Billease provides direct access to a transparent credit line,  simple, flexible, and built for modern spending habits.

“QRPh is a big step forward for Billease and for our customers,” said Georg Steiger, CEO and Co-founder of Billease. “By connecting directly to the national payments system, we’ve transformed Billease into an everyday credit option. Whether you’re buying groceries, paying for fuel, or dining out, Billease now works wherever QRPh and tap and pay are accepted. That means millions of Filipinos can access flexible credit seamlessly, without friction or hidden costs.”

“Billease is evolving beyond buy now, pay later,” added Kurt Molina, Head of POS Products at Billease. “We’re creating a credit experience that’s as universal as a card but more transparent and customer-centric. Customers can pay later with zero interest or convert any purchase into EasyPace installments, keeping full control over how they manage their cash flow.”

How It Works

  • Everyday Access: Customers can spend across multiple transactions using their Billease credit line via QRPh or NFC.
  • Pay Later Flexibility: Purchases can be repaid at zero interest by the borrower’s next payday.
  • Installment Conversion: Any transaction can be converted to installments through EasyPace before the due date. EasyPace is an annuity-based loan product that charges interest rate on a declining principal balance which means as you pay you save on interest and can pay your loan faster.
  • Nationwide Reach: Accepted at over 600,000 QRPh-enabled merchants plus any NFC tap-and-pay terminals across the Philippines.

The payment experience is simple: customers scan a QRPh code or tap their phone at checkout using the Billease app. Afterwards, they can choose to keep it as a Pay Later transaction or convert it to installments with just a few taps.

This launch underscores Billease’s commitment to democratizing credit access. By removing traditional barriers such as lengthy approvals, hidden charges, and limited merchant acceptance, Billease continues to build financial tools that fit seamlessly into the daily lives of Filipino consumers.
